CHECK OUT MY
TO SEE MY SKETCHES AND MY PROCESS

REFLECTING ON MAKING ART AT HOME
This term of art was definitely a process. I adjusted to using a lot of new materials and learning how to be productive in a new, unusual workspace.
I filled my virtual sketchbook with many ideas to embark on once I’m back in the studio. Something that was challenging was the idea that I needed to come out of the spring with a final project. After experimenting with many different materials and ideas, I decided that it would be okay to use this term to come up with as many ideas as possible. To get ideas, every week, I would find an “input” which was an artist, article, or some other inspiration. This really motivated me to keep creating. Additionally, we had a critique midterm where we shared our work with a small group of peers. This was really helpful and gave me plenty of ideas for the second half of the term. It was also inspiring to see what my peers were making during this time. In conclusion, this term of art was certainly a whirlwind. Although it was a process to adjust to a new space and materials, I am walking away with lots of new ideas that I am excited to put into action once I get back into the studio.
